Description

Main Point:  God wants a relationship with us. He doesn’t force Himself on us –He gently asks if we’re ready and He waits

Synopsis:

  • Shot from God’s perspective from the outside looking in and narrated as a love note to us, we get a glimpse of the lengths God goes to have relationships with.
  • Opens with birds eye view of morning rush hour traffic as vehicles move in fast movement around a busy circle intersection—the sounds of an ambulance and honking horns are reminders that it’s a rat race out there and God is gently knocking on the human heart. Closes at night—with the same hurried rat race.
  • As focus turns to pedestrians, His love note begins:  “How are you. I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you. I don’t want you to feel guilty. It’s not my style. I think you know that. But I’ve been waiting. I followed you everywhere. I saw you talking to your friends. I hoped that you would want to talk to me too….”
  •  There’s a sense looking in on people sitting at a restaurant that man makes God an outsider rather than a participant in our lives and relationships. God continues telling the recipient of His affection that the sunrise and gentle breeze are His gifts and reminds them that He created the sun and moon and ocean and you the individual.
  •  “Are you ready?” is a recurring theme – God waits for us at work. He satisfies our palates at lunch and wants to satisfy our spirits but our worry and distractions keep us disconnected. God is ready for relationship with what He calls His exquisite creation. He has wonderful things to show us—He wants us to react to His Name and His face because there’s work to do and souls to win.
  • In the clutter of life, He asks us to listen to the voice of His spirit – for the life He has for us is different than the ones we have of sunsets. But the choice is ours. He won’t keep bothering us. He’s chosen us. He is ready and will wait for us.
  • Imagery, rolling clouds, grasses blowing, and other restful settings juxtaposed with the fast-paced erratic existence of modern life – subways and other byways.
  • Fast forward movement throughout video reinforces the human condition of hurrying to nowhere. Edgy music contributes to feel that we need to slow down. Good production quality.

Application:

  • Universal application – because God is calling us all to know Him.
  • God is in the great and simple things alike.
  • God has given us free will. The choice of relationship with Him is ours to make.
