Description

Theme:

As followers of God, what is our responsibility to care for creation?

Synopsis:

  • This is a man-on-the-street documentary which asks passersby, "What is mankind's responsibility to care for the Earth?"
  • Rather than show the people-subjects of the interviews, we elect to show actual nature footage, the theoretical subject of our interviews.
  • Most people reflect a distinct need to care for the Earth, even if merely for purposes of self-preservation.
  • When asked the deeper questions of why, many people are at a loss to uncover a deeper, spiritual component to their environmental care.
  • (music by The Aviation Museum)

Conversation:

  • What is mankind's responsibility to care for the Earth?
  • Should a Christian person's response to this question differ from someone outside the faith? Why? / Why not?
  • What is the connection between our care for the Earth now, and the job(s) given to man in the garden of Eden?
  • How long will the Earth exist? Is there a Biblical theology that answers such a question?
  • Where is the common ground between Christ-followers and environmentalists?
  • Why should a Christian be 'green?'
